This is Boss. We received him about a month ago. He went through TTM, and is now in an observation tank. He is full of personality and super difficult to take pictures of! He zips around the tank so fast. Very good eater, holds his own with the tangs, but is never aggressive, and is more like a puppy than a fish. Always comes out to greet us and beg for food. We love him very much!

I spy a sunken ship, can we see a FTS of it?

Of course! The sunken pirate ship!! When we upgraded our DT, we bought it used from a person who kept freshwater fish. The pirate ship came with the DT and my bf liked it, so instead of throwing it away, it sat in our garage. With an upgraded aquarium came more fish and with more fish came ich/bacterial infections and possibly velvet. We quarantined all of the fish, treated them and now they are in a 55 gallon while the DT sits out it’s fallow period. I thought the fish would enjoy the pirate ship more than the pvc pipes. :)

Great thread!
Wow, now that's a compliment! Thank you very much. :)

We could use some more photos of Pomacanthus Imperators, I know there are many more juveniles out there and some big boys/girls with streamers.

***Please share your photos with us, some helpful tips or fun stories.***

I did not intend to add an emperor to my 550 when I had it, but saw that fish and could not pass it up. Unfortunately it didn’t make it past QT. Smallest emperor I had ever seen in person. That cup is a 15 mls medicine cup. You can also see in the video when it comes close to the TLF feeder as reference.

That was a tiny one. Are you considering another?

Checking out R2R monster tanks this morning and spied someone with a good looking emperor.

@Feet4Fish would you share some of your photos and experiences with us? How big is your Emperor now and how does he get along with your collection of other gorgeous fish?

This is D!*k angel. Please ignore the algae problem, it’s actually one of my progress pics after treating the tank. DA just thinks I’m feeding the tank every time I get close with my phone in my hand. He’s transitioning now after about a year with us

It is so interesting how the transition points vary from fish to fish. I see some start in the face, some in the middle, and some in the tail. I wonder if there is an external influence that determines this...
