Encrusting type corals and touching

Hey everyone!
I have a tallish cylinder shaped rock in my tank which I am hoping to have a few different colors of corals kind of running from the top down. Kind of like running down the side i guess.
Is there anyway this can be done?
I would have loved to have cyphastrea but from what I read I would have dead corals.
Here is a fts and another one with the rock circled. It is actually behind the the rock with the hammers not on top of it. Hard to tell from the picture.

yeah, Cyphastrea can take over very quickly. What about Leptastrea? I find it to be a very colorful but underrated “filler” coral.

Thanks everybody! I purchased a sunset montipora and a aquaman montipora!
They look awesome hopefully they grow well together!
