Meh. I will still call them euphyllia. I still call them acans and scolys.
I still call them scolys but acans I’m growing out of and am starting to call them micros.

Love hammers, especially wall hammers! Alas my euphyllia's fell into decline due to skeleton burrowing worms. My frogspawn just collapsed in pieces, the heads survived, but the whole colony just fell apart. Unfortunately the consequences were more severe for my wall hammer, which suffered a period of gradual decline, which it never recovered from. :(

These were my euphyllias at their very best.

That walling when it was at its best glory was more than beautiful!
Looks like a proper anemone but not as stingy haha.

I’d open up to more euphyllia but I’m heading into SPS and I’d rather not deal with too many stingy LPS.
Here’s my tennis ball sized Hammer ( ONLY 3 heads!) at night.

Haha, we’ll torches are the most expensive for sure…

as a frag the torch is unbeatable,

but wall hammers are the most amazing LPS, just love how they spill out of the skeleton and can also eat whole mysid by the basterful.
True, but look for one from a local reefer to get a great deal usually - I met a guy recently who sells torches for $40/head.

I wish we had that over here. The instant you mention a morph of torch over here it seems the pricing rises.

Yeah true - I like torches but honestly think they're so overpriced. Kind of like some "designer" mushrooms or zoas/palys... I can't justify spending so much on a coral just because it's trendy at the moment. My simple bright orange ricordea yuma is my fav mushroom in my tank, and it was FREE from another reefer I met locally. I see them going for anywhere from $45-$130 online at various stores. That said, I'm a complete sucker for mushrooms of all types, lol. I picked up a plain bluish-purple discosoma Friday from a lfs one state over, for like $30, that I think is just gorgeous. Would I drop $100 or more on a rainbow ricordea someday though? Probably, lol. As a splurge.

I am gonna have to go with torch just because of the flow....but also a hammer guy due to the one i just acquired. Have a splatter hammer that i fell in love with but the black light torch has just blown me away. Still waiting for my hammer in the last picture to fully open. ( when it does watch me change my mind lol)Added to tank today and it got all ***** after dip and acclimation. I will say this i absolutely love torch and hammers.
