I have been running a 10 gallon shallow RFA reef for almost six months now. Started with live rock, no fish in this one. I thought I would keep this "low maintenance" which resulted in plenty of algae which I've since got under control. The rock flowers have been doing great, and spawning little ones all over. There a couple hermits too. (I also see I have a couple baby snails and maybe a cerith still lurking somewhere in the sand.)

What the tank does not have are snails because they keep dying within a matter of days/weeks. I've tried all kinds: nassarius, cerith, asteria, turbo, trochus. All have died. I hadn't done a good job heating over the winter months. Thought this might be temp swings, so got that consistent. Just added a couple more and within two weeks, dead. Considering everything else is healthy, I'm stumped.
