My fish went through a formaldehyde treatment for 3 weeks in a quarantine tank straight. It had Brooklynella but the brooklynella got better. He was completely fine until I added him back. Now he has brooklynella again. That irritated me so much that I added him back to quarantine and added one scoop of Metroplex in my reef tank. Everything seems fine in the reef tank, even the corals. How long can brooklynella live in this sand and in live rocks while being treated with Metroplex. How long can brooklynella live through a metroplex treatment? How long can I do it?

The clearing time for Brooklynella with no treatment is up to 6 weeks. No way to say how that might be shortened by using metronidazole. I’ve never dosed metro in a reef, so I can’t tell you how long you can treat with it. Perhaps somebody else can chime in...
