Sorry guys.. it’s actually been quite hectic. Home alone with the kids, trying to get things settled while they shout their demands anyways. Here is what was in the cooler

8 Mexican turbos
10 trochas
10 blue leg hermits that are so small I told him should be buy one get one
5 red leg hermits
5 scarlet hermits
1 emerald crab
2 rock flowers

im afraid that the dude that got the RFAs out for me really did a number on the feet. The smaller one looks pretty rough. I’m going to leave the flow low and watch them for awhile to make sure they aren’t blowing around.
I got the yellow and the one with the leopard pattern.

I know I’m also supposed to post about my box, but I’ve gotta prep water for tonight and chores. Hopefully tomorrow.

I actually have two leads on new tanks. I’m waiting on the list of specifications on each so I can compare. More details to come.

Hey guys.. so my post about the box was going to be a review of the new wavemaker I intended to add to my biocube. However, upon unboxing, I noticed something questionable and I wanted to asked you alls opinion before I attempt to use the product.

the last picture is the wet side of the wavemaker. It looks like to me the only thing protecting the magnet is a thin sticker. This sticker was not even place on right and has some magnet exposed and the other side is not flush because it wasn’t put on center. Question… if the magnet isn’t coated with anything (which is doesn’t appear to be), wouldn’t that start to corrode in the tank? Surely they don’t think just a sticker is sufficient as a barrier between saltwater and a magnet? Anyone have any experience with this product and can way in? Am I being overly cautious?

They're not very helpful with their info.... I'd shoot a message through their website and ask what type of magnet is on the wetside?
Ok yeah thanks!! I looked throughout the manual and on their website too and couldn’t find any specific info about their magnet.

I actually have a similar thing with one of my power heads. There’s the sticker but it has some hooks on the underside where it grabs on to it seems another sticker fully cover the magnet. It’s fully covered, and have used it for 2 years and no problems as of yet, but again fully covered, I’ll try to get some pics.

No issues with magnet. I have issues with the reliability of the pumps. All mine stopped working under a yr. I saved the magnets and use them for rack holders and to keep the sock in place

No mines covered by plastic. I would contact them looks like they forgot the bottom. I'll take pics when I'm home.
Edit

I would just return it and look at something else. Eflux has great customer service but thier wave makers are pure junk
