Heyooo so you guys might remember I had problems with a forty gallon (I was way too busy for maintenance) and then I wanted to try a reef jar and was going to, but that didn’t go well... so I officially downsized to a ten gallon. *applause*
I have no pictures of progress... just of the tank with the filter some sand and a rock. Which I will put here *below*
Now, let us skip forward to the finished product since I’m terrible at documenting the process.
Now I’ll list equipment, livestock, et cetera.
E Q U I P M E N T :
• 10 Gallon Aqueon Tank
• 300W Mars Aqua Light
• Marineland Penguin 150 Power Filter (for Thirty gallons)
•Eheim Jager 150W
L I V E S T O C K :
FISH:
•Two Oscellaris Clownfish (Böcklin is the smaller and Angela is the larger)
INVERTS:
•Pacific Cleaner Shrimp (Fortinbrass)
•Florida Fighting Conch (Abishag)
•Purple Striped Barnacle Cluster (No-one names barnacles... that’s weird. And yes they’re alive.)
CORALS:
•Duncans
•Zoanthids
•Palythoas
•White Corky Finger Gorgonian
•Corky Finger Gorgonian
•Xenia
•Kenya Tree
•Yuma Mushroom
•Firework Clove
•Blueberry Stylophora
•Season’s Greetings Montipora
•Yellow Sea Whip
ANEMONES :
•Recovering Bleaches Green Bubble Tip Anemone
•Some other Bubble Tip Anemone it was expensive and it’s pretty cool but I forgot the name, I’ll find out.
I also used 20 lbs. of Fiji Pink sand by Caribsea and I love it the grain size is perfect. I also am using Chetomorpha and some unidentified species of macroalgae that washed up in some flotsam and jetsam on the beach.
My care plan is to just do weekly water changes, change the filter pad every half week, all the simple stuff.
My livestock plans are to gain as many Floridian species of coral as possible
I’ll post closer pictures of the tank as everyone gets settled in. Thanks for reading!
Postcript, I should probably say @fishguy242 gave me the ten gallon idea
