AND THE TWENTY GALLON AIO PENINSULA BY INNOVATIVE MARINE IS ORDERED...
And will arrive (unfortunately) in one to five days from marine depot.

I’m absolutely stoked. I’ve never owned a tank like this... this is my first nice expensive tank. XD I’ll let you guys know when I start to set it up.

Question: Should I start a new build thread or keep this one? It’s the same tank contents just being moved into a larger aquarium...
No just keep this one going. Its all part of the adventure

Look at this handsome little man in his Gorgonian hammock. He likes sitting in them. I also need to clean my glass XD

So I should finish setting it up tonight after work. I was gonna do it last night but it was past midnight and I was waiting for water to heat so I said “to heck with this” threw my heater back in the ten and decided to wait till tonight.

I would like to say though, this tank looks incredible. It’s very sleek and there’s a lot of attention to detail. Look at the shipping:

I was very happy with the packaging, a box was centered in another box with styrofoam in every corner and in that box was two layers of styrofoam holding the tank centered in that. The tank was wrapped and everything in it was wrapped to prevent scratches. The tank has a really nice layout and the back chambers have a lot of space. There’s even a black tape covering the filters and it can be removed if you’d like to see into one of the apartments. The pump it comes with also has a wave setting... I plan on using it to create a pull after waves sent out by my Hygger mini. They also supplied carbon, GFO, little furry snowball looking things to hold bacteria and a filter sock so it’s ready to go. I’m gonna add an extra twenty gallons of sand and I’m waiting on putty to make the idyllic rockscape.
In this tank I’ll also be replicating the natural formation of a reef. I’ll be using a wave maker to replicate the reef zones and get back on track to the Floridian/Caribbean theme.

So everything is moved over but the livestock is floating in bags... I’m waiting a little bit for the tank to clear before adding them. I just want to be able to see the rocks so I can set them up and I’ll let the corals, inverts, fish, et cetera out. Does anyone know if BioMag is safe for corals and fish?

I’d definitely like some RFAs I’d only want the bigger ones though which are kinda hard to come by at least at my LFS
Salt critters is a good place to go. Since your in fl I think you may have a bigger selection. Rember rfa will grow to 8 inches. The small ones are just babies.

They grow slow to speed up growth supplementing feeding will help. Mysis and small food like that.

I’ll look into getting some, I really like natural looking reefs so I don’t dig all those neon strains but hopefully I’ll find some good natural colors B)

There are shallow rfa and they are dull cream and browns with amazing patterns. They are the cheapest. When I say shallow like wading deep.

The ultra are deep water rfa and they come ins some amazing colors. From my understanding is that they are all wild collected. The wild colors are natural. More brilliant under pure blue
Last one under just white

Lit!!! So I’m guessing shallow RFAs are cool in medium to high low since they’re naturally in the shallows?

Done. Kinda finished with the aquascape I’ll probably change it a bit later plus I’ve got putty coming in the mail so I’ll be destined to move something around. I’ll post pictures after the coral opens and the tank is less cloudy.

Heyooo so you guys might remember I had problems with a forty gallon (I was way too busy for maintenance) and then I wanted to try a reef jar and was going to, but that didn’t go well... so I officially downsized to a ten gallon. *applause*

I have no pictures of progress... just of the tank with the filter some sand and a rock. Which I will put here *below*
3F8EB531-61B7-4394-A4F4-0DEFDDA723AC.jpeg

Now, let us skip forward to the finished product since I’m terrible at documenting the process.
33805207-120A-413F-A004-79E87BB7501C.jpeg

Now I’ll list equipment, livestock, et cetera.

E Q U I P M E N T :
• 10 Gallon Aqueon Tank
• 300W Mars Aqua Light
• Marineland Penguin 150 Power Filter (for Thirty gallons)
•Eheim Jager 150W

L I V E S T O C K :

FISH:
•Two Oscellaris Clownfish (Böcklin is the smaller and Angela is the larger)

INVERTS:
•Pacific Cleaner Shrimp (Fortinbrass)
•Florida Fighting Conch (Abishag)
•Purple Striped Barnacle Cluster (No-one names barnacles... that’s weird. And yes they’re alive.)

CORALS:
•Duncans
•Zoanthids
•Palythoas
•White Corky Finger Gorgonian
•Corky Finger Gorgonian
•Xenia
•Kenya Tree
•Yuma Mushroom
•Firework Clove
•Blueberry Stylophora
•Season’s Greetings Montipora
•Yellow Sea Whip

ANEMONES :
•Recovering Bleaches Green Bubble Tip Anemone
•Some other Bubble Tip Anemone it was expensive and it’s pretty cool but I forgot the name, I’ll find out.

I also used 20 lbs. of Fiji Pink sand by Caribsea and I love it the grain size is perfect. I also am using Chetomorpha and some unidentified species of macroalgae that washed up in some flotsam and jetsam on the beach.

My care plan is to just do weekly water changes, change the filter pad every half week, all the simple stuff.

My livestock plans are to gain as many Floridian species of coral as possible :D

I’ll post closer pictures of the tank as everyone gets settled in. Thanks for reading!

Postcript, I should probably say @fishguy242 gave me the ten gallon idea ;)
