COMMON NAME: Falcula Butterflyfish, Saddleback Butterflyfish

FOODS & FEEDING: The Falcula Butterflyfish feeds on meaty foods, marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, krill, and frozen preparations. Should be fed a minimum of 2 times per day.
REEF COMPATIBILITY: Smaller individuals up to 3.1" (8 cm) can be kept in a reef aquarium with soft corals. As the Falcula Bitterflyfish grows, it becomes more destructive and will pick at stony corals, anemones, andmushroom anemones.
CAPTIVE CARE: This species is relatively hardy in the aquarium and once acclimatedwill actively compete for food. Somespecimens may not feed on normal aquarium fare, although problem feeders can beoffered inexpensive anemones to pick at. (Resmbles the C. Ulietensis)
