I'm looking to boost the cycle of my upcoming QT tank by adding live rock I took out of my DT, but want to confirm it won't transfer any parasites.

Removed from the DT April 7th, and placed an opaque bin with fresh mix, heater, and powerhead. Left completely alone aside adding the odd bit of ammonia. As of tonight makes 6 weeks and 3 days. I just want to confirm I am okay to Reuse this rock, as I understand Velvet has a fallow period of 6 weeks, and is there anything else I can do to it to reduce the risk while preserving the bacteria?

Salinity is 1.023
Temp is 72f. Low, yes, but the only heater I had is woefully underpowered for the ambient room temp/volume of water.

For velvet yes its enough as I understand it but not for ich (76 days to your 48) but you could transfer the rocks over and complete the remaining days in the qt tank.

Fortunately ich has yet to be an issue for me, just velvet. Just a tiny bit concerned that if the temp is too low, might slow down the life cycle of that hellspawn parasite.
