How much do these guys usually go for?
You could have a nice little money making tank!
The market varies but they are generally in the $400-$500 range for a good sized one. I've seen a lot of tiny ones being sold lately.

That's the plan!

His first swim lessons are going to be in the tank. Don't worry, I'll put the pumps on lagoon mode at first and let him work his way up to reef crest mode eventually. [emoji12]
When my children took swimming lessons, the lady who taught them also taught infants how to survive just in case they fell into a pool. Pretty amazing! Definitely a must for people who have babies and pools. I am sure they have classes in Austin?

Are you worried my kid will fall into the tank Alton? [emoji12] Our neighborhood has swim classes for kids so I'm sure there is something like that around here.

Good eye! Are you in Austin as well?

Hey Alton! For now, yes. I plan to aquascape sometime in the near future and will do something very similar to the last tank. The lack of corner overflows in this one does give me a ton of more space to work with so I may be inspired with a different design but either way, it will adhere to my minimalist stylings in some form or another. My one goal is to make more nooks and crannies in the scape so that my fish have more areas to hide and sleep in when desired.

Thanks! Parker is blowing up right now to make up for his slow start when born. I've been dosing amino acids and increased my nitrates with him and its been paying off big time! [emoji6]

Yes I live in Austin

Looking to distract you with a pretty, flowing, 3-headed Cerberus of a goniopora while nobody notices the fish are missing.

AHHH so awesome!

Big week. After losing so many fish to velvet last month, my wonderful wife watched the little guy as much as she could to give me time to get the tank in order.

I plumbed the frag tank finally into the display.

I hung mounts for the lighting, which I'll be using my old LED/T5 light combo that used to be on the main tank for the frag tank. After running it yesterday with just the Ocean Revive LEDs, I think I'll ditch the T5s for simplicity.

Randomly, my ATI fixture wouldn't fire up two bulbs. Whenever I tried to mess with the bulbs, smoke would start coming out of the fixture. I took it down and fortunately for me, my DIY retrofit T5 setup on the old light setup has ATI ballasts on it so it was a straight swap to get me back up and running.

An update video I shot last night.

Things I still need to do from this point:

-aquascape

-put all frags in frag tank

-add blue/black backdrop to tank so you can't see the room behind it.

I've just left things as they were since I moved because my time was limited and most pressing was to treat my fish and plumb the frag tank so I had room to clear out the DT to make aquascaping easier.

Also, corals adjusting to the T5s now are starting to really regain color and look good again. I think I'm liking going all T5.

How are you keeping nutrients in there with no fish? Are you supplementing something?
If it was more for 6 weeks, then I would dose nitrates but for such a short period, I let it be. I have been ghost feeding every other day.
