I tried twice to have an angel. Once I seen my polyps disappear I almost cried :(. I wanted so bad for the emperor angel to work out and I told myself that I could deal with the no polyps but once it happened, I realized I couldn't.

I'm with you. I'm in the process of setting up a new tank, and a regal was at the top of my fish list, but I think I've talked myself out of it. Maybe one day I'll do a fish only.

You mostly cry a lot in the first couple months, alone in the shower where nobody can see you. But then you get over the lack of polyps and eventually come around that life without polyps isn't too shabby either... especially when you have those beauties swimming around the colonies... colonies of polypless acros. ;Nailbiting I have something in my eye... excuse me a bit.

Nice! See! Angels and reefing! They go hand and hand!
I couldn't do without my Angels or Acros. The lack of PE I understand but as long as the acros are thriving and can grow out into larger colonies the PE eventually comes back within the inner branches where the Angels and butterflies cannot get to them. That might not be the case with all Acros but IME it has.

Thanks BigJohnny! Its actually on my never cut list. I got a frag from a buddy, and his colony died. So once mine grew out a bit, I fragged him back a head, and all of mine died but 2 heads. So we both vowed to never cut it again.

Then I got convinced to cut it for a frag of the old school Pink Panther... We both cut and both lost our cuts. I tried one more time and it survived. So I'm waiting for him to get the nerve to try to cut me another frag of the pink panther. Its just as delicate to cut.
Yeah I get it man, I hate fragging euphyllia in general. Just keep it kicking.

For today's selection, the BC Pearly Cadaver. It lives up to its name... has the pearlyness of an ORA pearlberry but with a different growth form.

This one I got at a local swap in San Antonio. There wasn't much to look at and the plug was covered in algae but the frag was super healthy looking and from the pictures online, I figured why not. I'm glad I did. CC Voodoo Magic

Ty, I am not sure if you seen the voodoo majik colony in person or not but it's a stunner for sure. I would always see frags online and was never too blown away. I went to TSA and seen their huge colony and instantly had to have it. It's one of the ones I'm most excited about.

I'm locked in the largest state in the continental US and we don't have one single premiere LFS like you guys in Florida and California do to go visit.[emoji29]

I'm glad to hear Bubba! It has definitely captured my attention as of late!

I've seen some sick colonies of the voodoo majick, it can display so many different colors. There is one in particular I remember but can't find it. Here are some others. The last frag pic really shows what it can do.

They all look so different, lol. The one at TSA has more of an orange/red base. Here is a pic of one from their livesale. I would say the majority of the colony has this color.

Wow, that would be impressive to see that as a colony!

I need to PM you on their future children.

I'm spending 2018 on the sidelines and watching the Alk monitors. Purchase the winner in 2019, so I'm very interested in your reports. Keep posting as the year progresses
