I think you’re on to something. When googling Speciosa, I seen a lot of wild colonies that had a similar growth pattern as the frag. I also read that a lot of Speciosa are found in shallow water. So, I’d say you’re probably spot on!
A broken clock is right at least once a day. Haha.

And here I thought a broken clock was right twice a day
I said AT LEAST once a day... to cover digital clocks that state am or pm. Those are only correct once a day. Hahaha. You are correct, analog clocks are right twice a day. I’m such a nerd.
