Does the short cake like high or low light? How do you light your tank?
My Shortcake does not look as nice for sure
High. It’s in 425 par. This is an Aussie variant... a. microclados... in case you have the standard a. nasuta variety from Unique Corals back in the day.

I think they are great. But haven’t replaced mine since the crash. I’d like to get the best coloration but most look pretty good out the gate

Definitely eye catchers. This variant I got was from aussie 4-5 years ago. It actually got some orange in it under Radions back in it’s hey day. My colony is recovering from the denitrator mishap but still hasn’t gotten any of the orange back yet.

I added “the taco” this weekend... Dastaco A-4 calcium reactor. I’ll clean up the wires at a later point but just wanted to share. Rated for 525 gallons and I believe every gallon of that rating. That’s almost 3/4 of a 5-gallon bucket there of media and I had to order more because I still need to fill up the secondary reactor to the top. They only recommend filling up the first reactor halfway.

Ty,

Love that you got the reactor from Matt! If you have any questions or need media in the future I usually have some on hand (in an emergency). That second chamber is filled up to try and absorb any residual CO2 so you'll probably see a pretty big dip in pH without it full.

What were you using before, 2 part?

Hey bud! Yeah, pretty excited when he was bringing out the shop for me. Was giddy!

Yeah, I filled up what’s left of the media he gave me and ordered another 22kg from Unique corals to fill up the rest of that secondary chamber. I can already see my pH dipping a bit. Can’t wait until it arrived. I appreciate the offer sir!

I was using an MTC Pro Cal CaRX the last 4-5 years. Love that thing but it wasn’t sustaining my uptake anymore. Had to refill it almost monthly to bi-monthly. Became quite the chore. Hoping this one will serve me much better with its 525 gallon rating and 5-gallon bucket of media consuming ways.

WWC All Star- still not the same crazy punch of purple base and orange polyps like when it first came in from @bubbaque. It did get beat up a bit from my vacation mishap so hopefully one day soon.
