Im getting a pretty dense film algae on my glass that gets thick again within hours of being cleaned off. Nothing else seems off in an otherwise well 1yr old tank. Coral are happy even the SPS with great polyp extension and things are growing. Fish and inverts seem happy. NO 5-10, PO4 0.04 (probably some uptake by the algae). I keep alk at 7 and Ca is 400. Skimmer and refugium (just Chaeto) are running 24/7 and growing well. The rate of the glass getting foggy just seems REALLY fast (will regrow in 6-8hrs).
Should I start running MB7 or Dr. Tim's type of products? Should i let this burn itself out? Other things i should be considering?
Thanks for the advice

I put these 3d light shades on my Radions and they significantly reduce algae build up on the glass. Used to clean glass every 2 days. Now cleaning every 6 days. Shades focus light into aquarium, really reduce glare, and reduce algae build up on glass. I’ve also upped the Point Light Intensity on my lights by 15% since putting the shades on.

That is super interesting. I have a T5 LED hybrid that allows me to angle the T5's. I will try to angle down the T5's toward the center of the tank and away from the glass.
Fun experiment thanks for the advice.

Having the same issue but I have never minded cleaning it a lot. I have a Biocube with the stock leds so this solution might not work as well. It’s some good inspiration though. Might be able to craft something up.
