I think Lobos are the slowest growing corals. Takes literally 7-10 yrs for it to double in size
Stares at tank....

My slimer and Hollywood Stunner grow super quick also....but still can't keep up with the plating Montis lol. Mine have become almost invasive.

I blame the 700! All actuality it probably me settings.
What size tank do you have and what are you growing. I have had anAP700 for two years. I setup another tank this year and decided to try Radions. I just sold it and bought another AP700. I am able to get much better PAR and spectrum.

FASTEST = Texas trash palys, green striped mushrooms, red mushrooms, green dragon's eye zoas, GSP.

SLOWEST = pink zoas, fruit loop zoas(just never settled in), any orange colored zoa.

My purple tipped hammer was a really fast grower for a year, but stalled out last fall.

Jbj 45 round corner set at 12”. Mostly lps and some softies. Everything looks excellent. Growth just seems slow, which I’m happy about.

No problems with par out put, colors, or shimmer.

par plays a part. Studies have been done that show that the higher par corals grow slower but can have better color. Lower par and they can grow quickly but not the same color. Its a delicate balancing act.

Fastest is my corky finger has added about 10x its initial size over 4 years, or any gorgorians for that matter.

Slowest for me is any lps. Pavona, euphylia etc. i also have higher quantities of mircofoods in my system than nitrate so this is probably why lps grow at a snails pace for me [emoji23]. I keep at a measly 1ppm i dont lose corals at this level and dont have algae issues, but does probably make my tank grow more nutrient liking corals slower.

Fastest for me would have to be my Duncan... started with a single head about a year and a half ago, it's survived one minor and one major tank crash and is now on at least 15 heads, several of which are more than 4 inches across. I also have a bird's nest that grows pretty dang fast, along with a few acan colonies.

Slowest are my ricordea. Don't think they've grown at all since I've put them in the tank. They seem to survive just fine, but no growth whatsoever.
