I’ve decided to wait to buy a skimmer.
I know or 3 or 4 that will work but I want to get it running and see how everything lays out before buy one

That is a nice looking stand. Great for other uses too.

don't what now?

Yes! I did a lot of searching for stands because I wanted a piece of furniture that I could swap out for whats currently there. so the middle part will hold my router and stuff and both the cabinets sides will hold equipment and ATO reservoir ect.

We were looking for a tv stand in that exact style. found something close, but not sure it would hold a tank.

Depending on what your fish stocking list is going to look like, I would definitely suggest a lid. It's a very shallow tank so easy for jumpers

I saw a similar stand a while back and it was very nice for a kit stand.
You may not even need a skimmer. I've been running a reefer 170 (aprox 40g total) with no skimmer for over 3 years with nutrients remaining low.

Don’t know if the back of the tank is painted or vinyl like the IM tanks. Either way have to remove the covering and put a light on the back wall facing into the chamber.

I’d add a heater controller and someway to manage all the pumps. I haven’t used it, but BRS has an skimmer made by reef glass that runs off an airstone. It’s very small, looks good, supposedly effective up to 30g (reviews say it worked in larger tanks up to 40) and drains into an external container. You could run 2-3 of them off one airpump in the cabinet, and drain it into a container on the cabinet. It would look clean, be quieter and seemed like an interesting option for a AIO to me. This one is silent except for the airpump, which you can hide/change easily. Also, one less tank pump to manage!

I assume you have testing equipment? I like Hanna/salifert and hydrometer. Those have been my biggest help.
Other helpers: ro/di with tds meter.

the one thing I wish I had was a qt setup. I didn’t do one fish and now my tank has illness, and I lost 3-4 fish.

looks like a cool footprint, if I ever get another I’d probably do something like that either as all softies or bare bottom sps.

Good question!

Ha yes I have a bunch of Salifert test kits and hydrometer.

heater I just forgot to put but it’s a finnex titanium heater

my final add would be a controller. Just trying to decide which one.
