Blue squamosa for the win! Top down on a blue squamosa is the best. This one is about 3years old

It looks really good, great color choice! How much par are you keeping it under?
It's at the highest point on my rocks which is around 200+. I will be observing in case I need to bump up my par numbers. Not keeping them very high as my tank is mostly LPS focused.

That's exactly my tank goals to have an LPS dominant tank with a clam. Any chance I could see a picture of your tank and see the whole aquascape to see how you placed it?

Still a work in progress but I took this earlier this afternoon after the clam had settled in.

I love clams I take care of the clam system at Algaebarn so get a little discount. I had about 15 in my 50 gallon IM EXT with no deaths. I recently got rid of them cause I got a new Cade 1200 and just didn't think they would fair well in a new barebottom tank with new dry rock. I have to say my favorite is the boring clam which I don't know how it got the name but crocea. I think they are exquisite

My all-time fav clam is the blue squammy. I love blue and the blue is just so vivid. And the rarity factor makes them more desirable.
I’ve never bought one, never could afford it. But I’ve seen a couple irl and sold them to customers when I managed an LFS. I think at that time they were $450 in 2007. In today’s inflation and hobby greed market they’re probably like a thousand bucks now.

We used to sell ultra grade crocea for $40 each or 2 for $70 at one store I worked at. Ah those were the days. I’ve currently got 3 inch ORA Deresa that’s pretty nice.

Exactly why all vendors post ‘top down’ pics… if you don’t have a look down tank, you may never enjoy that view!
