So many fish with captivating behaviors. (Though I also find myself mesmerized by corals and nems tentacles waving around, lol)
Precisely....not sure how old your tank, but that is what catches my eye too....and IMO, easier to replicate reef from what I see when diving on the shallow fringe reefs. Flow, and Nems, Softies, fish flitting about, give that effect for me.

Bicolor Angel.
This is a very elegant angle with simple but highly contrast coloration

And a fish that when I first started in hobby was known as hard to acclimate, survive in a reef tank.... so much success now with this species, is nice to see. Nice fish @OrionN

My tank is 0 years old, lol - I had to wait until we got a new sectional delivered last weekend to have the spot free where I plan to set it up. Hoping to get the tank at least up and running this weekend (we're getting snow dumped on us currently so might as well stay in and mess with the tank stuff!)
My dad had a FOWLR for years that I loved (just fish and one very piggy anemone, haha) though, and my boss has a 75 gal reef in his office that I go look at every day. Finally decided I need a tank of my own! Have kept freshwater my whole life until 4 years ago when downsized and gave my 40B to my dad to take care of. Have an awesome yoyo loach that is 11 years old in that tank!
I've never been diving (scared to try it actually), but went snorkeling in Mexico and was just amazed. I like the idea of trying to replicate natural habitat as closely as possible in the aquarium. :)

Whoa! Amazing on the loach! That's incredible imo....used to run fresh myself long long time ago lol... snow? Same ugh, and probably a few more feet on Monday lol. What size the new tank?....and congrats on its inception! If you want to chat more in depth feel free to PM me or check out my build thread, always happy to help, and listen to others experiences/ learn /advise. Trying my best not to hijack the OP thread lol.... No reef is the same all are different, with all opinion valid, it's how it is for each individual that's truly unique. Speaking of Build threads here is your perfect opportunity on snow weekend! I'll watch for it!
