I would get knowledgeable enough to become a tutor so I could earn enough to buy a Par meter. Then set up peoples tanks so I can afford to stay in the hobby. Tomorrow I am buying a yellow tang for $ 350, My store wants $500

My favorite class would have to be analysis and observation. (you didn't say we couldn't make the class up)
I'd throw in a detention for good measure every couple of weeks that way I can stay after school and catch up on my testing.

1. If R2R was a reefing school what would be your MOST FAVORITE subject?
Coral Warfare and Interaction: An Introduction to Intelligent Placement and Compatibility

2. What reefing subject would you consider to be an "advanced class" for you?
Micronutrients and Their Roles: Achieving Desired Coloration through Proper Dosing

3. Finally, what subject do you DISLIKE the most?
Idk why, but I find all the stuff related to flow, drainage, and plumbing a headache. Not that it's conceptually hard but...I always second guess my sump layouts, my drain and return rates, etc...

Nothing but very good experiences with Adam at Ocean Devotion on my end, game changer for me. I have a QT set up, just prefer to not invest the time and energy when I could spend it elsewhere :) I know BRS has many videos on Marine Collectors as well.

Fortunately, there's a handful of smaller companies who will do it for you the right way... You'll pay for it, but its worth it IMO
Maybe, but I’m sure they aren’t in Georgia.lol
I was glad to discover a marine/reef store in Atlanta. When I went in and people knew about corals, lighting, flow, water parameters...... I was like,
“The heavens have opened... Yay!!! These are my people!!! They speak CORAL/REEF, like me!”

I'd really love to connect with someone that has a strong knowledge base with Chemistry. For as many seasons I've been in the salt water hobby. I've never ran into the issues I'm having with Alk and Ca in our current system.. For months I've been fighting keeping Alk up and from keeping Ca from skyrocketing. The only thing that seems to be stable is Mag.
I actually just finished watching a great YouTube video of a MACNA presentation on water chemistry by Lou Ekus that dives right into the relationship between Alkalinity and Calcium. Lou does a great job of simplifying a complicated/boring-ish subject. I'm very new to all this so I don't know if it would be helpful to you, but I figured it was worth sharing. Good luck!

Symbiotic Relationships On The Reef

I'm in detention for killing my Midas Blenny (he jumped, but I should have had a screen over the quarantine tank and the cat got to him before I did).
Given my reckless spending and the obscene amounts of money I'm throwing into this hobby, I'm hoping to bribe my way to an A.

I graduated and now just appreciate those brave enough to do show and tells instead of article and advice warriors. So many tanks are near identical and so many people leave hobby due to failures.

Really enjoyed ReefBum channel with Greg Carrol lately. That is a good place to start.
