a kitchen scale is great for measuring salt, alk, calc and magnesium to make up water and supplements. once you dial in the the salinity on your makeup vessel, there's no need to do anything but spot check the salinity on it once in a while, like when you open a new bucket.

i usually find the salinity is consistent from from bucket to bucket, but calc, alk and mag usually vary from bucket to bucket and even from batch to batch within the bucket.
Measure? Never did that, lol. :)

This is one of my new favorite items! It’s a magic eraser on an extendable all plastic handle. 24-36”

Spaghetti server for when your tank is full of bacteria snot or stringy algae, just swish it around and it all wraps around the prongs.

My wifes tweezers, wifes tupperware(dipping), wifes measuring spoons, wifes towels.

Basically she hates me.

I have the opposite problem. I buy things and she keeps taking them.

For example, scissors. We had some around the house, and my wife would complain about me taking them. So I went and found a 12 pack of scissors on Amazon and ordered them. For the 1st 2 weeks I had scissors around when I need them. Now they all seem to keep migrating to the kitchen.

I bought these tiny little containers to put food in while thawing/soaking. They were $1 for 6 of them, so I picked up like 6 packs of them. I got to use 1 pack.

Most of the stuff she stays away from after use. But before hand...nope. I bought a 5 pack of turkey basters. I got to keep 4 of them, which is a bonus.

But I must admit I did hijack the 1/2 gallon pitcher.

Forever and always, my clothespins!! Don’t get wood ones y’all they grow mold after a couple weeks. Been using plastic ones from Walmart ($10?) for over a year now and still good! Little rusty but it doesn’t affect it at all. Used to hold a piece of string across the tank to create a barrier so floating bags don’t bump into my acros close to the surface, holding nem cups, mangroves, holding airline tubing during drip acclimation, organizing wires, etc etc etc!

Love this idea with the mangroves. I have always wanted them in my display but never know how I would do it. This is perfect!
