LRS is the better blend for tangs

Spirulina brine shrimp
Hikari mega algae
Mysis shrimp
Small plankton

Yes, mine loves and thrives on rods food original. Nothing wrong with that, just try to get him eating nori to supplement as there isn’t much in the rods food.
