I just bought my very first saltwater fish. A bonded pair of Frostbite clownfish that are super tiny. The male is 1.5 inches/female 1.75 in. The advice I found online varies from feed fish what they'll eat in a 1 to 5 minute period. (Articles never mention if they're referring to juvenile or full grown fish.)
My fish seem to eat for only 10 seconds per meal. Doesn't even leave time to video them while feeding! I feed twice per day, since they eat so little. With the options of pellets, flakes and frozen, I choose 1 per meal. For the first 4 days I only fed either pellets or flakes. I fed frozen for the first time last night to see if they'd eat more than usual. They did. Took them around 20 seconds to eat, with some left uneaten. Barely used 1/8 of a cube! lol
Can I assume a feeding period of 10 to 20 seconds is sufficient for my tiny fish?
Thanks for any insight,
Chelle
