Oh did you go back to your regular lighting schedule and just keep cloud cover? Seems like t5s went up an hour (10 now instead of 9) and ab+ on for 8 hrs (9-5)
Yes Omg I totally forgot the one T5 nut in here told me more t5 the better so I actually raised that , maybe I’m wrong on my ecotech settings I’m going to post a photo of my graph right now

Have you done any ICP tests ? You should do zeovit program if you want to see good growth and coloration with sps dominate. I’m good friends with some industry leaders. My one guy that owns ARC runs zeovit on all his systems

No3 seems to be on par from every major coral store WWC TOP SHELF UNIQUE CORALS CHERRY CORALS. 15-20 seems to be the new norm I’ll be leaving it there

15-25 is great for No3. I get great growth, but more importantly MUCH better coloration at that range.

I have done multiple icp tests and came back with nothing wrong but high no3 and I’m not changing that because imo high no3 is a myth all major coral retailers run 15-20

A little update from my tank since adding the cloud coverage feature about 6 weeks ago.

Wondering if this isnt your regular growth? Or you are noticing more growth with the cloud function? How is the cloud function on the radions?

He has AI , I have radions , on the radions it completely cuts the red green and whites and goes all blue and then over some random amount of time it ramps back up to ab+ , when im
Home on the weekends it does it often and a lot , my tank is barely white anymore and it’s on 60 percent probability

Growth has definitely increased. The cherry bomb hadn’t done anything for a year and then I added the cloud coverage and the branches started sprouting. I’m noticing much faster encrusting on a bunch of newer pieces than I’ve seen on my older pieces.

I might try that. Are you still running 9 hours peak? What par is your peak time?

I will check my calendar when I’m home it’s gone up 15 ml I think

So from 60ml to 75ml

25% increase in growth, wow!

You should take a little more credit for this vs your recent changes. You did some tuning that was beneficial but your color and growth were already fairly strong at 60ml/dy.

The last yr of husbandry setup you up big time for what you accomplished in this thread even though it felt like you weren't getting anywhere.JMO

Interesting observation. I'm in - I just turned clouds on my Kessil 360x. It really just supplements my T-5s so it'll probably have little effect either way.

I'm happy to try it, but I'm struggling to understand why it should work.
-Does constant light variance excite the SPS to grow toward it at a faster rate?
-Are we just pumping out too much par in general and this helps tamper down the light?
-BRS investigates - does cloud coverage increase growth (at this point, we don't have a large sample size).

Hey Chaswood, wanna switch tanks with me? Haha.

Thank you appreciate it , things deff grew before , but not at the speed of parts of my build that I have on this setup it got me upset that same setups grew twice as fast who knows maybe there source water is better or there corals came from a better source , all my acros are from cherry corals or unique corals and those places are top notch IMO , I’ve never had a bad experience, maybe I was expecting too much , but as we can all see look at that progress shot I mean that coral almost doubled in size in 40 days that’s insanity maybe but I’ve heard that growth is possible and you can fill at tank out from frags in a year with T5 radions

I would need to see what you’re working with.
