me too I am really thinking about getting the 81 as well. what sump did you go with? not to hick jack this thread but curious... :D
I went with the 24" sump, same as @xiaoxiy. Well... The sump is the only hold up on my order according to email. At first I was told 3-4 weeks from April 13th. Yesterday I was told by the end of May.

The bigger sump is definitely worth it. You'll just have to keep the ATO container outside the stand.

Full Tank Shot: You'll notice I a few of the acro colonies in the FTS you quoted @Devaji are gone. They died in pretty big crash I had later in February :(. You can read more about the devastation here.
FTS LRES.jpg

Frag Tank: Bowing seen in pics is due to lens distortion rather than actual bowing.

^ Can anyone help me ID this Zoa is (the one between Utter Choas and AOG)?

I love it when the chromis hide in the acropora.

Not much has changed. Frag tank is getting out of control though. I’ve been trying to sell frags locally to clear the tank out more.

I don't think I've ever shared my QT setup with ya'll. It's currently filled with a lot of frags (acros and gorgonians) from @hart24601.

IMG_6945.JPG

It's a 3 gallon nano-aquarium lit with a Kessil A360W. It has filtration via a AquaClear HOB filter which I keep biomedia in. It also has a AquaTop HOB UV sterilizer (was dealing with dinos).

The coolest part about this QT system IMO is that it gets 3 gallons of AWC (aka 100% WC) from my display daily. My DOS dumps the "waste water" from my display into this nano, and any excess water spills into an overflow and down a floor drain. This setup allows me to match my QT and display parameters without additional dosing!

Hi friends!

It's been a while. The display tank keeps plugging away and I'm outgrowing my current frag tank. As such, I've been looking to upgrade the frag tank. It just so happened that one of my LFS ended up closing due to family reasons, and I was able to snag a really nice 6' x 2' x 1' acrylic frag tank from them. I also grabbed a used Kessil AP700 from them too, to light one half of the frag tank. I will be taking my current frag tank down and replacing it completely with this one, so the other half of the frag tank will be lit by my current Radions.

A friend and I split the 2 frag tanks they had for sale. One frag tank each!

Wow, they cleaned up really well.

My friend was super generous and dropped the tank off (115 miles). He put a cardboard shield on the front to keep highway bugs from splattering on the acrylic!

Got it moved into my basement.

Finally, here's a FTS of my display:

Here are some acro duplicates I’ve been growing out in the frag tank, with the plan that once these grow out, I won’t have to cut into my display colonies.

XY Blueberry Donut (prev wild tenius I’ve been growing for ~1.5 years)

XY Blue Bonnet Tenius (another wild that’s been growing for a while)

I also have some sweet pieces going through QT right now including: SCOP, HW, Sunset Mille, a couple BC pieces, a granulosa and needle in haystack.

I love the metallic blue polyps of this digi.

Finally, this WWC Yellow Tip colony is getting out of control!

Euphyllia Corner!
DSC00722.jpg

CSB. I've tried cutting it twice and promptly screwed up, killing both of the babies I've made. At this point I'm too scared to cut it anymore.
DSC00728.jpg

The XY Blueberry Donut is an oddball tenius. In a friends tank (under 400-600PAR) its corallites are starting to turn orange. Maybe I need to raise the PAR in my system.
DSC00726.jpg

The XY Blue Bonnet is one of the bluest teniuses I've seen.
DSC00727.jpg

Here is a back-up piece I have of a millepora originally from Harry Singer. It's such a pretty piece and has reds, yellows and greens. Right below it is a sunset mille peeking into the picture.

Pink lemonade is such a classic.
