Finally got a microscope!

So yes I finally got a microscope to try and identify this film that has been repeatedly growing on my glass for the past few weeks. I think my RODI cartridges need changing so I have switched those out today to see if it helps when I do a water change this evening. Anyway, can anyone tell me what‘a under my microscope? I’ve been assuming diatoms and I also have a pic of my glass before maintenance.

Video won’t play but it looks like diatoms. Decrease lighting for a bit. It will pass eventually, just a part of the ugly stages.
More algae eating snails also helps to control it.

It’s weird they’ve popped up again, my tank has been up and running for 3 years now
