I was watching for hours and didn't see any torches drop so I stopped. I was really looking for an affordable gold or yellow torch today.
Yeah I checked in recently, lots of torches, some pretty orange blastos, more kojis, missed it all - poured myself another pina colada & went back to video games lol

I did a thing. My garage is a wood shop but currently used as a glass shop.

I've been looking for a low tank with the right dimentions

. My old sump was laying on its side and I figured, that's about the perfect size.

I tore the old 29g sump tank apart and have mocked it up with the panes in a different orientation. I'll cut the back piece to size and drilled for a small internal overflow after I get everything cleaned up fully and before assembly.. There are some scratches on the glass and I'm OK WITH THAT. If all goes to plan, it'll be mostly viewed from the top.

This one's going to be run by the fluval fx4 currently on the bowfront with a stated 450gph flow rating, so we assume it's 375-400.

Dimentions will be 29.5x18x11.5. would a 400 gph or 600gph internal overflow box best suit? Does it matter?

prob going to need a little more flow.. ;)
And I JUST understood that was tongue in cheek. After about 6pm pst, you've got to be a little more direct. That's what, 15x turnover?

The pump itself has valves to dial up and down flow so I'll probably need to throttle it back a bit on the outflow side.

So a quick update here. . .

It seems that the Desjardini that came in and died a week later, left me with a marine velvet in my main display tank.

Fish started clouding up a few days ago and showing symptoms of a parasite.

I've ripped the dt apart to get the fish out and into the newly rip cleaned bowfront now a hospital tank. I've lost quite a few fish including my favorites. Luckily the clowns are both doing very well.

It's going to be a rough go in the next little bit so I may not be as active.

Rolled the dice, knew the risks, am paying the price. Big thanks to @fishguy242 and @Jay Hemdal for assistance in getting a treatment plan in place.

Have a good day everyone.
