Anybody know off the top what this Wrasse is?

Head color looks just like a melanarus. Solid 5" long.
Checkerboard Wrasse? (Halichoeres hortulanus)
A quick image search looks like a perfect fit based on your picture.
Very interesting and beautiful!

That is definitely it, thank you.

It's an awesome looking fish. I've never seen one locally but always wondered when I saw it in this tank.

Check out this little nubbin. The listing had a pretty advantageous angle.

Looking nice in there. That little guy will grow up. Whats the torch on bottom left?
That is a cristata, that was knocked over by a turbo snail and eviscerated by both of the tube anenome below Torch Island. It's been healing for some weeks. Turn the corner recently that I think it's going to live. No infection..

When I turn the flow of, I let the rainbow grab onto my floating baster to keep it's grubby paws off of the Yuma below it.

Ok so! This weekend the tank opens back up.

Now gotta think about a restocking strategy.

The players are:

1 or 2 black mollies
Mandarin goby
Matted file fish
Flame angel
Coral beauty
One Bangali Cardinal
Mckoskars flasher wrass
Melanarus wrass
Chiseltooth wrasse (not going in yet, tail/fin issues)
2 clowns

Purple tang flying to CO next week, neon dottyback not invited back into the reindeer games.

I've been feeding the corals and nps tube nems so the tank has been eating. Only lost a few CUC in that time. Nitrates have fallen from 160-180 range to roughly 50-60 in the 73 days so far.

Planning to drop the molly in on Saturday.

How long should I observe for any adverse symptoms before adding the others?

Don't think it would be a good idea to drop everyone in at the same time so will split into what 2/3 drops?

I'd like to get the wrasses and coral beauty in sooner than later. Pests be going crazy so wrasses and the cb is less aggressive to the flame angel than other way around.

My thoughts:
Day one, black molly
Day ? File fish, coral beauty, melanarus wrasse, goby,
Day? Flame angel, Mckoskars Bangali, 2 Clowns
