So I have a finger leather frag in around the middle of the tank with good lighting and flow half of the polyps are open the other half aren’t. Her are my param:
Temp: 79
Salinity: 1.025
Calcium: 380
Alk: 8
Mag: 1380ppm
Ph:8.1
Nitrite Ammonia:0
Nitrate: 0.1
Phosphate:0.2ppm
I got it a week and a half ago, and it finished shedding two days ago.

Nitrate at .1ppm is a bit on the low side IMM in comparison to phosphate at .2ppm.
I was thinking more like 2-5ppm is a better match.
Those parameters look great to me.
Is he getting equal flow, ie, flow from both or random directions.
Leathers take some time to settle in, give him a month.

Yes my nitrate is less than .25ppm around .15ppm. I only had one fish in my tank for the past 6 months and when I bought two clowns the phosphates went up. I’m running some gfo to lower the phosphates. Should I buy nitrates to dose? I’m growing chaeto and I think that’s why my nitrates are so low. Before buying fish the nitrates where so low the chaeto was dying.

Macro like chaeto can strip the tank of nutrients.
I employ chaeto when I want to lower N and P.
I took mine right off line and N and P are at level and stable.

Don’t have the time to test all at once:
salinity:1.025
Ph:8.1
Nitrite ammonia:0ppm
Mag high at 1410. Could this be the issue? How could I lower it. I will test again after with calcium nitrate phospahet

Bad nitrate test kit receiving new soon

Any ideas? Moderate lighting. Moderate high flow.

Bump. I’m concerned what can I do? Should I just let it be, or trying moving it around the tank? It doesn’t look like it’s melting or dying yet.
