Hey everyone, it has been a while since I’ve asked about a funny looking critter. But I found this guy on my very unhappy zoanthids today. He definitely had the small red parts at the bottom of his bristles. Can I assume this guy was a fireworm? I have seen bristlworms I my tank when I feed they come out but mostly stay in the rocks, this was the first time I saw one on my coral.

also worth mentioning. Occasionally I hear a clicking at night, it almost sounds like a snail is falling off the glass and hitting the bottom. Any thought? Possible mantis?

lastly, my orchid dottyback has been a recluse recently and last time I saw him he had chunks out of his side and part of his tail missing. Could this be chocked you to a nasty saddle back clown or one of the two previous speculated creatures?

thank you for taking the time and for any help

Keith

Young bristleworm. Fireworm more red and distinct. See pics below.

Well I guess I’ll keep an eye out for the larger ones, hopefully they don’t do to much damage. I appreciate the help!
Any advice on how to confirm if I have a mantis shrimp? Lol
