setting up my first tank its a 75 rimless tower. So to explain before I add the pictures I took some 1 inch pvc and measure the inside of my tank and made sure cornerflo wasn't an issue, then begin building a scape inside the pipe area for at least an inch of clearance from glass for final product. Have 3 nice arches. But as far as a newb scape with a 30 inch tall tank. How did I do? The peak in the back makes it almost to 2/3 line of my water volume. I want to do an sps dominant tank so wanted to make sure plenty of area higher in tank for it to grow. Pictures is front, right side, back(cornerflo area), left side. Has no glue, epoxy, etc. Just sitting like this mostly stable. Please share ideas comments.

very nice start. The one thing I've learned from experience is to always put in consideration of your maintenance. Having rocks too close to the glass will prevent you from sticking your hands in there to perform maintenance, and leaving some algae scarping "blind spots" on the glass if there isn't enough space. Just food for thoughts.

I agree with keeping a bit more cleaning space at the glass otherwise it looks really good;)

In ease of access what are we thinking for interior space between glass in scape for cleaning/maintenance? This i why I made a mockup design for scape so I could get an idea of proper maintenance. Once finalized and water in tank flow will be next issue i have to tackle. I figure the open archways and center will help so detritus doesn't collect in any negative space

3rd.

I spent a lot of time on my rockscape when I started as well.

The one thing I wish I had considered at the time is it’s very hard to get most corals to grow on steep slants. If I could go back in time, I would have made more flat areas so I had more space for corals.
