Hey guys so I noticed this thing on my clowny about two days ago, and this is my first time dealing with a fish injury, so I'd like some quick advice!
I've had this little guy for about a year now and he used to live in a smaller tank with another clown, but about a week ago I transferred them both to my main 29 gallon reef. I took out all the other fish and now it's only these two clowns and a watchman goby along with some corals and cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp and pistol shrimp. Everyone gets along fine and no one attacks each other.
He's never had any kind of issue whatsoever, and now that I've transferred him he suddenly has this white injury on his side. I'm not sure if he got hurt when I moved him and it just got infected or something. He's still eating and swimming around like normal, and the other fish are perfectly fine. Any ideas on what this could be or what I could do? Could it be contagious?
I've been trying to catch him to move him to a small quarantine tank, but he just keeps zipping around like crazy lol. If I need to quarantine then I'd like to catch him without having to move the rocks...
My current params are these:
Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrate - between 5 and 10ppm
Nitrite - 0ppm
(The other params are fine, but if you guys want specifics then just ask and I'll post 'em)
Any advice you guys can give would be highly appreciated! I would hate to lose my little baby!!
