Hi, I am thinking to have an 75gallon aquarium in my sunroom/greenhouse, where it is not in completely temperature controlled env as my main living space. I would say, the air temperature could be swing between 50 - 95 depending on seasons. With my existing chiller/heater that I think can maintain 5-7 degree temperature swing, I guess the water temperature could be between 60 - 90 roughly depending on seasons, i.e., winter daily once for a while could be 60-70 the worst, or summer probably once for a while 70 - 90 for worst?

My randall goby has been ok a few times thru heatwave in southern cal? Is that normal? or any damsel or any fishes I may be able to keep in such env?

90 is really high. In my experience fish do better with low temps then high because there is plenty of oxygen available and metabolism slows. I think hardier fish like damsels would fair better. If you can keep temps between 68 and 82 they are going to do best. Good luck let us know how it goes.

Can you create a small saltwater pool? The surrounding soil would act as a temperature buffer and help to moderate any temperature extremes. I'm not sure how attractive an overhead view would be for you, but I'm not sure what would survive at those elevated summer temperatures in a standalone tank.

You should consider the amount of sunlight that the room/tank gets. Not only for temp but you have a ton of algae if your tank gets direct sunlight.
