Hi guys, just wanted some feedback on nutrition. What foods and suppliments do you feed which have a proven track record of good immune system protection and health benefits to your fish?
I've heard garlic is good and algae based foods?
When I first it my tank 6 month ago ,I bought bog standard marine flakes (algae based recipe) and frozen mysis with added garlic but now I've learned more about the hobby I want to make sure good nutrition is as much a priority as the equipment used!

Hey AVVITT,

Just sharing what I use and have had no issues with:

- Seachem Nutridiet Marine (Probiotics Formula)
- Seachem Nutridiet Shrimp Flakes (Probiotics Formula)
- Hikari Marine S
- Hikari Marine A
- Hikari Frozen Mysis
- Hikari Frozen Krill (For feeding the anemone on rare occasion)
- Red Sea Reef Energy AB+ Amino Acids (Weekly Dosage)
- Frozen Headless Shrimp (Fishing Bait) - Note: I use this for my Zebra Eel

I switch between the two nutridiet formulas for variety. In addition, I try and balance between feeding heavy and not putting too much phosphates (PO4), but I use my weekly testing results to gauge where my PO4 is at.

I also believe that most available fish foods on the market are good, so it more depends on what fish foods are being eaten by fish in various systems. I have a bottle of Garlic in the event I need to try and entice a new fish addition to eat, but I rarely use it.

On occasion, I also add a little Selcon to fish food
