"Designer" clownfish is one of the most absurd ideas that has surfaced in this hobby. The fact that people pay MORE for basic mutations is just sad.

They're both ugly and ridiculous.

OK, this is meant to be fun. So no personal attacks. Just call out fish you see allot of and call it what it is to YOU.

For me, I can't stand Fox face, Cardinals or dog face Puffers.

This is all personal opinion so what one person doesn't like is totally OK.

I can’t stand damsels, colors are nice but wY to aggressive they kill my valentino puffer and my Pijama, I hate them they for sure going into my friend tank

Kole Tangs ...too common and ugly
Yellow Tangs ...overrated and too common
Scopas Tangs ...boring common tang
Vlamingi Tang, Big and ugly..never knew why ppl like them?
Mustard Tang... oddly shaped and ugly
Powder Brown Tang... the fake Porsche version of the Powder Blue
Sailfin Tang... no interest
Black and Gem Tangs... highly overpriced, no thanks

Foxface was always ugly and weird looking to me.
Cardinals are naturally ugly
Lionfish... I hate them more because they've become invasive in Florida,etc.
Triggers.. never was a fan of them. Never liked their body shape
Bird Wrasse ... no thanks
Most designer clowns
Puffers and Boxfish ... never cared for them. Oddly shaped and hideous

The list might have been shorter if you listed fish you do like!!

I think PJ cardinals are a little strange. They look like three different colored fish glued together. Cowfish I never really liked. Most tangs are not my favorite. Feeder guppies are not very pretty, same with goldfish they are pigs. Oh and some wrasses look strange.

Clownfish are ugly as all get out. especially designer ones.
Any fish that is too common: Royal gramma, Cardinals, orange firefish, and most damsels are not "cool" enough for me. And tangs are overrated!
Lawnmower and starry blennies have the grossest body shape.
Most hawkfish look gross too (longnose and pygmy are good)
But i don't get everyone's hare for eels and lionfish! Eels look like happy little socks with cool heads, and lionfish are so majestic.

Designer clowns. In my head, all I see is a bunch of improperly developed colors as a result poor breeding habits. That may be 100% wrong, but that's all I can see when I look at a "snow storm graffiti jigsaw puzzle" clown.

I have never understood the popularity of pajama cardinals, especially when the bangai has so much contrast.

woah woah woah. you crossed the line with potters angelfish . They are my favorite fish of all time! The colors, detail, and contrast just has something that no other fish does! Well, maybe the potters wrasse...

If it looks like a plane jane freshwaterfish, I'm not a fan.

I think smaller wrasse (like fairy/flasher) look like freshwater fish and they have zero appeal to me. The big exception being yellow (and especially green) Coris wrasse.

Most cardinalfish fall into this category for me as well. Bangai look unique and pajamas are so ugly I like them. The rest of the cardinals are pretty meh

Chromis, damsels, mollies, cardinals, maroon clowns, scopas tangs, yellow tangs, batfish, and mostly, ARROW CRABS. (I know it isn't a fish, but I had to include it... they're terrifying!)

I said later in this thread that those are the exception? I don’t dislike eels cause they look “scary” or something dumb like that. I’ve been bitten by morays, many times, is the reason why I don’t like them. They are blind and stupid and have gnarly bacteria filled teeth that will mess you up big time.
