FishScales 75G and 180G build

So this is my crack at a 75 gallon build.

It all started with a BioCube tank I saw at one of the best LFS I have ever been to, Neptune Aquatics in Milpitas, CA.

I took a dive into reefing, which in turn made me purchase my BioCube:
BioCube 14 that I modded out.

I decided that I wanted to upgrade, so I drew a couple sketches

Which in time, and lots of driving to the hardware store

Turned into this:
Resized to 80% (was 1023 x 682) - Click image to enlarge

And this:

That will not be this final spot for this tank because I am planning to move. The tank will not touch saltwater until I have done so. In the meantime I had my custom sump built by Chris Tran.

Its 33x18x16

Bought some live rock

and did some other custom work to my stand before I stained it

More to come!! Promise!

Lol, a couple of sketches. Very well thought out. What is the footprint of the tank, and what are you planning for equipment?

VERY nice. I love to see well-thought out build plans. It's much better than planning on the go! If that is how you would like your rock setup in the tank (the rock picture on the cardboard), I love it! Great looking wookwork and sump quality as well. Looking forward to seeing this with water in. Hurry up and move already!!:snicker:

The tank is a LeeMar and its foot print is 36x24x20. I have all equipment in hand...2MP10WES, Neptune Apex with the bells and whistles, 2 AquaIlluminations Super Blue Sols, Bubble Magus Doser and SRO XP2000int Skimmer.

The rock is Fiji Totoka...its perfect for the bonsai look I want for my 75 Gallon. I actually have a 180 in the garage right now filled with REAL REEF rock from Fish Heads Inc. (FHI). That stuff is the BOMB!!! I actually scaped my tank in about 20 mins because the rock has very good characteristics. I just throw rock on top of each other and it looks gooooood

Thank you for noticing. Did you happen to see how I routed a perrfect spot for my controller on my stand? I didn't want to open the door everytime i wanted to contol the pumps to feed.

WOW! A "couple" of sketches jajaja Are you an engineer, architect, or something like that?

It's a really nice build, can't wait so see it full of corals. I wish I was this organized with my tank and supplies. Congrats on a great job!

So here is the other tank....the 180 is actually done with its cycle. I was busy scrubbing it that day...sorry for the lame shots from a camera phone.

so the drive way of the garage is a little slanted....got that fixed:

Excellent craftmanship. I really like your build. Looks forward to seeing this tank mature.
