I noticed a spot. I'm not sure if it's ich or not. It looks a little too big for ich. What do think?
Thanks!

Might develop into a white spot from a trophont, might just be a little boo-boo. I would wait & see for now.

Alright the spot is still there. It's been over a week. Would this rule out ich because it would have dropped off?

Yes the same spot has been there for I believe 9 or 10 days now. Unfortunately I have notice a couple more spots on the other pectoral fin. I'm thinking that it could be lymphocystis.

He is from divers den and I've had him for 2 weeks, which is normally how long I qt fish for from dd. If it is lymphocystis do you think I should hold him in QT or transfer him to the display. It's 93 cube with only 2 fish right now (clownfish and starry blenny) so it should be pretty low stress.

Here are some other pictures. Sorry they are not very clear, he's a fast swimmer. It's really hard to see, the photos above are the most clear.

If it turns out to just be Lympho, you can go ahead and add him to the DT.

However, I'd wait to see what develops with the spots on the other pectoral fin.

Agreed^^ Be sure they are the same spots in the same place and that they aren't moving or going away and others are popping up near where the others where before jumping to lympho.

Ok its been another week, and the spots are still there. I'm pretty certain that he does have lympho, I'm just trying to make sure that's all he has. Nothing ever developed into the normal ich spot, so I think that's ruled out.

I guess there is a small chance that some velvet could be right in with the lympho spots and I can't tell the difference. Would velvet likely be seen elsewhere on the fins and body?
I'm on the fence about medicating. What would you do? (I won't hold you responsible ;))

If it's Lympho the white nodules should have grown in size.

Velvet looks like tiny sugar sprinkles all over the fish (see below).

I can't say that I've noticed them grow much. It's tough to tell, I pretty sure it's not ich, but it does look similar to that. I think I'll probably start treatment just to be safe.

Here are some photos. You really can't see anything though, I'll see if I can get some better shots. Also, pretty much all of the spots you see are on the glass.

I can see it on the pectoral fins. Looks like Lympho or possibly a bacterial infection. Something about it just doesn't look "quite right" to be Lympho.

It is quite odd isn't it? You may try treating with the antibiotics if you haven't already. Between lympho and an infection, the infection is the only one you can treat for.
