I definitely like to see movement, it’s very relaxing to watch. I upgrading my pumps and now have oscillating currents that make them more wavy. My favorites are alveopora and goniopora

Beautiful! My Alveopora. I’ve had this piece for 2 1/2 years. It was a golfball when I got it. Now, when fully extended a large grapefruit.
Does lots of sun make lots of algeaEuphyllia movement is my favorite.
It is important. It is a visual indicator of flow intensity. My new tank gets a lot of sun throughout the day, and when it hits the tank, you can see the particles in the water being moved by the flow. This helps ensure the tank inhabitants are being delivered food.

I have this crazy translucent sun coral that came as hitch hiker on gulf rock.
Oddly enough it will spread its fingers when flow is just right which happens to coincide with what my shrooms are able to tolerate. Also a very important coral that helps me guage when something is wrong. Has a sweet spot for alk around 8.0-8.5 and let's me know when its slipping or drifting automatically.
Mouth looks right. Are sun corals and cup corals often called the same thing? I did start a thread back in the day to try and get id on it and consensus was sun coral lol Mouths look identical almost.Cup Coral!
