Well im in michigan and when i heard they were shutting the state down at midnight tonight i ran and got a small frag and another hammer frag. When i got the hammer coral into my tank i quickly realised how much more bright green it is compared to my other one. Been doing research all day and checking parameters. .. Also been trying to identify the smaller frag i purchased..

What lights are you upgrading from, and what are you looking into?
I have a fluval marine that was over my 55 gal folr however I upgraded to a 125g and now have added coral and I am debating between 2x 72" orbit marine pros or 2x Mars aqua 300w. Or possibly waiting due to budget and going with aqua life T5 hyrid. So many options. Thank goodness I have time to research.

I’ve been at home on maternity leave since the beginning of the year but now that we can’t go out I’ve been buying from my couch. Today’s purchase was a fish. Last week was a new sump! I’ve also done some bubble algae removal and pump cleaning. 80B7EE70-5A59-4017-B9F6-94AD27158AF9.png

I’ve literally spent endless hours on my 131 Gallon DT. It’s 11 months old. Have accomplished the following over the last 7 days:

• Setup/Cleaned QT tank
• Added (2) designer clownfish
• Gave protein skimmer a deep 4 hour vinegar bath cleaning
• Cleaned out my entire sump/refugium
• Added (2) 8x8x1” Marine pure blocks
• Performed ATI water test to Germany and back
- Received good results with only iodine appearing low
- Added some iron as well to help macro algae in sump increase

Tomorrow - Fragging my GSP from island rock and attaching to back wall!!

I have an addiction

I don't have an RODI unit so I don't make my own salt water. My LFS always has an ample supply of high quality salt water for my water changes. Problem is they are closed due to COVID19. All other maintenance is on it normal schedule. Just no water changes. No change in the tank, fish or corals ------ yet.

Installed two AI Prime lights over the Red Sea reefer to compliment the Radion G4 that was just not cutting it for some of the SPS. Have not had a chance to hang them until this week. Doing slow acclimation of 5% increase per day. So far so good.

I got another smaller tank so I would have more to do. It has turned into a very pleasant distraction. :) I think in this crisis it is good to have a hobby that requires you to mainly stay at home.

Definitely cleaning up wiring, added a Trident and cleaned up Wav pumps, BRS dual reactor, Changing filter socks every couple of days. Complete swap out of Apex Classic for new version of Apex. Will incorporated old one in my QT in the basement. 2 days to change out all modules and reprogram and attach to board under tank.

I always keep my main display as clean as possible but I find myself doing some extra testing just in case. One of my satellite tanks really doesn't normally get much attention. It's just home to a pair of lightning maroons I otherwise couldn't keep and some random corals, but it's become INFESTED with aiptasia. 100s maybe 1000s and I probably have 5 in my display - they pop up I get them usually about monthly.

Now I'm patiently waiting for a large bottle of aiptasia x to come and I'm going to get every last one today :)

Ha, it's not. I already practiced social distancing, why I moved away from the city. I still have to work too, gotta keep the trucks rolling.

I had let the coraline build up for over a year, and when I finally scraped it off the back glass it came off in huge chunks that I removed:

Question about the huge chunk Coraline that you scrape would it take hold in another tank if somebody took it and put it in there take would it just be the same or worse as the crap they sell in the bottles just wondering

Yes, it can be used to seed another tank. I have donated some of my coraline to other local reefers.

So for me I have been in the process of building a 75 reef tank since just before the social distancing policy. it didn't really effect me since I have been doing most of my shopping online, though deliveries are taking a bit longer. I have now hit a snag with building my controller cabinet and refugium/ato bucket cabinet. So I'm now frustrated because Maryland just ordered a stay at home order which adds a fine for being out if not going to an essential location. I am building my cabinets at a friends house.

I am sorry to see the 3 votes on shutting down their tank. Hopefully the tide will soon turn for your finances. Please mention this when flipping your animals and I am willing to bet that people will throw you a few extra bucks. Good luck...
