found a white coloured critter in my tank & maybe shrimp?

found the white critter in the glass in my tank


and these on the rockwork and there is a lot so hoping they are shrimp of some sort


can someone reassure me

They both look like pods to me

@Raideress definitely Amphipods, considered to be a good sign Of a healthy tank they eat detritus and some fish pick at them.

Some nice, large amphipods, might even be brine shrimp but good to have in the tank

actually this may explain my new discovery, my tank is currently fallow, doing a fishless cycle to get rid of marine ich and fish are dealing with a Tank to Tank transfer method, so i guess while the fish are away the pods will play, and multiply

wondering now if i could get a mandarin, i have a 4fit tank and seems i have pods

Add some phyto to the tank and it will feed them and increase population
