I found a log covered in barnacles at the beach today. The whole coast was loaded with seaweed. You couldn't even see the sand. I would like to remove these from the log and add them to my reef. My reef is pretty big and has a cryptic area.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions? I could add the log but I'm sure it's loaded in hitchhikers.

They will have your whole tank covered in a relatively short time, they are pretty invasive and the bane of pleasure boaters.

Holy crap! I misread the word log and thought you said leg! If you really look at it, it kind of looks like a bone.

@flsalty yeah it seems to. I cant risk putting the log in my reef. I have been feeding them invert food and they love it

UPDATE: I have them in a brute trash can with a little flow. I fed them invert food and they seem to be doing really well. At the least I'll figure out whether they can be kept alive or not. Maybe they release their foot like anemones

Yeah, despite the water changes and feeding invert food they were actively eating they just died. There was also some freak worms that crawled out of the log
