white spaghetti sponge or tube ball sponge, they prefer dirty water. So if they are just in your sump, I wouldn't worry about them.

So I am looking for ideas... I have doing my best to manually remove what appears to be white spaghetti sponge's. It is getting to the point where a huge clump clogged up my main return line at my gate valve. If it wasn't for my overflow things could have been bad. Once I opened up my gate valve they all came flying out.....is there good way to kill them chemically that won't kill the corals and or fish?

Dumb question...Since sponges hate air... what would happen if I put an air stone down in my main return? Would I loose siphon? Since the top of the tube is 12inches under water it should still drain.....anybody done this before?
