I too have stuff waiting for the December meeting. I bought a bunch of little coral pieces at The Reef Gallery awhile back. It was like all the little left over crumbs. I bought it all to mount and bring to the mega raffle, granted he sold it all to me pretty dirt cheap.

Wow, you have a tripod? Probably a camera to attach it to as well. Fancy! Where are those cell phone pics.

I was in a rush when I took the pics, so they didn't come out quite as nice as I wanted but they will do ;)

Yes sir they are.
Hmmm. That's an interesting idea. Was that an auquavista99 thing or a you thing? Is there reasoning behind mounting them that way, such as causing upward growth instead of encrusting first?

That's an aquavista99 thing. No idea why, I don't think the frags I got from him at lear were mounted like that.

But they are way easier to mount that way!

I've cut off the stems and used them to mount skinnier frag onto and then glued those onto my rock before, just don't recall anyone just turning them upside down. I remember reading about people keeping the frag plug elevated off of the rock with the belief that it would make the coral grow up and out rather than encrust.

Oh yeah what did you pick up from aquavista? I might need some frags :D

Hey guys and gals! I have been on R2R for a little while now and I didn't think that there were any other Pittsburgh reefers on here. I would love to join your club! I have several propagation tanks with lots of sps and zoas that I could potentially trade.

We would be happy to have you come check out a meeting. I sent you a pm, but as always the schedule can be found on our web site located at www.pmasi.com under upcoming events and you or anyone else for that matter can sign up for our newsletter there as well.
