I like the exposed sump look. That is how i did mine. We spend so much on equipment that looks nice just to hide it.

The sump area will look so much better once I get some equipment in there!! Lol

I added a couple of Nero3 today. The cycle is coming along nicely as well. On day 5 of the Dr. Tim’s method and starting to get some nitrites! So the cycle is on its way!

Trying to decide what lighting program to run on my AI 16 primes? I like the ones from the AI signature series. I’m currently using the “Saxbe” on my 26AIO and seems to be working well. Do you use the same lighting on different tanks? It will be a mostly a mixed tank in the end.

Picked up a second set of AI Prime 16hd! Plenty of light now. I’ll have to see if a LFS has a par meter to rent to check it all out.

Good looking build so far. How tall is the 60 breeder? Aqueon’s website says the tank is 18”, however almost every article and petco list it at 16.25” tall. Just trying to figure out the true dimension. My local petco doesn’t have any, but there are some in stock about an hour away.

Very nice setup! Have a 60 breeder as well and I am planning a reef tank. It’s nice to see how it looks. Great job!

So after doing some research I did find a 30 breeder would be perfect. But they have been discontinued and I could not locate one anyway. I looked on the Petco website and at the time the 40b was on their 50% off sale and was $59 if I recall. So I went down and picked one up!

Its a little tall but I think we can make it work!

how tall is the stand?
