Hello, I just noticed this critter in my tank today. At least it’s not a worm but I have no idea what it is. I’m hoping it’s a friend. If not, how do I get rid of it ?

My tank is an Evo 13.5 gallons, 3 months old, with 2 oscellaris, 1 trochus snail, 1 nassirius snail (sp?) and 3 cerith snails.

Thank you !

Good hitchhiker but I think its a Asellota isopod not an amphipod by the movement and body structure. Whether its an amphipod or an Asellota isopod its still a good hitchhiker. All it will do is eat detrius and/or algae.

Reminds me of an amphipod. You probably have hundreds. It was at this time point I started seeing them.
Good food for fish and inverts and great cleaners!
