Fritz Turbostart 900 cycling questions

I'm cycling my tank right now with fritz turbostart (I already used fritz fishless fuel as an ammonia source) and I was wondering if I should turn on my powerhead, skimmer, or filter? They are all turned off right now

The filter only has foam and biological media (biomax), should I also add filter floss on top of my foam?

No need. Filter floss isn’t a substrate for your good bacteria, it’s not in the tank more than a few days before it gets swapped out. At least it shouldn’t be lol.
