I went from a razor to a zetlight 6600 and the red green orange made a big difference in coloring of some of my corals. has anyone noticed this on other lights?

I'm more a DIY Guy and have experimented adding reds and greens...Have not tried orange to make my corals look better....More worried about alkalinity...For SPS coral looks...

Personally I fall back to the look of a Radion MH...Just enough 500-600nm to highlight certain pigments.

On my personal tank some acans look slightly better with extra red but overall I can easily live without extra red or green on my Clams or SPS.

Just My LED Experience...

Sorry this is off topic, but what size tank do u have it on? They say it is good up to 48", but I have not found much reviews of it.

They use a mix of Bridgelux LEDs. Keep us posted on the long term results.

After any change of lighting the corals will adapt and look different. One could do a doctoral theses on this...

I did the diy led setup and bought them from u. just wasn't happy with the way the light turned out.

the true test is long term but it will take some time just the small thing that I noticed from the switch.

I have a zetlight 3600 pro I won i a contest on half of a 125 and it covers well. I think the light is promising im going for a sps dominant tank on that 125g system. its been running empty for about 5 months (longest cycle ever)

The look of the heatsink and wires. Its a personal preference

Yea I agree the look of the wires needs to be hidden.

The circuit board looks much nicer as does a fixture in a housing.

Thanks for the feed back
