I would run a single 75gpd if your really looking to make your DI last. But to be honest the price difference between the 4 stage and the water saver isn't a huge one so you could just get the water saver setup and try both methods to see what works best.

Ahh I see what your saying. Just looked and your right, price difference isn’t bad. I’ll do my initial fill up with the water saver and see what that does to my DI. The maybe take it off and use it for top off and stuff like that and see the diffeence.

@JoshH you were 100% right. I spoke to BRS today just to help get a shopping list for the system I want to end up with. They said the same thing you did about going with the 75 instead of the 150. Looks like I'll be placing an order on friday. I'll be ordering a 75gpd 4 stage, a triple DI package, booster pump kit, gauge, and an auto flush.

Awesome! I'm sure you will be really happy with that setup. The triple DI is probably the best solution for you in the long run. And TBH they are super easy to install and maintain yourself. I may have missed it but do you know if you're dealing with chlorine or chloramine in your water so you know which carbon blocks to get with your setup??

So glad i saw this!

Glad I could be of help, not trying to promote BRS or anything but if you sign up for an account with them and let them send you emails you'd always be up to date with all there sales:)

I went to order my stuff this morning and they are out of stock on about half of what I need lol. I'm going to do the live chat and see if they have any idea of when they will be back in stock. I'm not sure if about the chlorine or chloramine but I can find out.

Out of stock???:eek::eek::eek::mad::mad::mad: that's never good. And you will definitely need to check out your municipal water dept site and see what they use between the two as you need to have the correct carbon blocks to handle whichever you have.

Well I actually twisted it a little and got what i wanted excluding the booster pump. I got a 75 gallon per day 6 stage and added a single canister di to get the full system I wanted. I figured I could at lease make water that way and then I'll add the booster as soon as its back in stock. It will end up costing me a little extra that way but not bad. So the WAY upgraded system is on its way.

I got 40lbs of marco rocks prime cuts for base rock. Started talking to a buddy of my and he thought it would be neat with the small depth of the 90 to use the flat cuts to build up on the back glass. I messed with it a little and I like it. I'm going for two separate island but I think my big one will start like this.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, been busy around here. I decided to take a different approach to the scape work. I am going to build in in the tank itself. I'm afraid some of the big structures I would like to make would never transfer well. With that being said, we have to get the bedroom redone first so I can have the tank in place before I start putting rock in. We started the bedroom redo yesterday and already have three walls done and the floor installed so its moving along nicely. I also received the RODI system yesterday, but I was too exhausted to install it. The only thing I don't have for it yet is the booster pump, hopefully BRS gets those back in soon.

I’m making water! Too bad the 90 isn’t ready but that’s ok. The 34 will appreciate good clear water. Everything was perfectly level till I hung the last canister. So it looks wonky now, but that’s ok.

Thats a heck of a lot of DI resin... what is your TDS prior to going through the system?

So since the build is kind of stalled until we finish the room, I thought I'd share a couple of frags I picked up this last weekend. My little frag rack is getting full. The frag rack has everything a lot closer to the lights and my zoas are loving it. My devils armor and magicians have both added 3 or 4 heads since the move. My tree-house of horror is brighter and bigger than ever. It's fun to watch.

I almost forgot, I also got a few rock anemones too. This is not a great shot of them but they are pretty nice. They wont be real happy until the 90 is ready, they will be living in a breeder box for now. I don't want to have to remove them when the 90 is ready.

So I’m still in hold mode, still have a few things to do to the room. Also waiting on the electrician, apparently they are all way behind in this area. But I didn’t get a few toys in. Somebody mentioned they UFO light being loud and they were right. But I think between being inside the stand and our ceiling fan we won’t hear much.

Electrician said they would be at the house early next week so that's great to hear. Hopefully middle of next week I can get the tank back in the room. Once that happens I will get busy on the rock work, it's driving me crazy being stalled like this. Going to a club meeting today and will hopefully come home with some more additions to the quickly filling frag rack. May have to bust out my little magnetic one before long.
