Had the same problem with the first tank the 10 gallon but ran out of space for coral so I upgraded to the 70 gallon and almost bought a sulfur denitrator to start the tank but decided to try something simpler and more natural before going that route and nuke the tank or myself or both. So added a reactor hoping it will function as an anerobic zone with flow at about 20 gph that gets fed a small dose of carbon twice a week but if not then it will function as rock. Also went with live pukani from a well established tank. Also have a fuge with a half a basketball size of macro and a macro reactor. Not sure which one worked or if they are all contributing but finally got it solved and my nitrates were highFunny. I have such high nutrients. I am jealous of people with low nutrients.
Ummm I have a problem with compulsive glass cleaning/tank cleaning...I can find some bubble algae or an aptasia if that will make you feel better? Haha ;HilariousReal nice Leslie. I love all the softies. Let’s see a pic with algae covering the glass ;Smuggrin
NiceDoes this count as a FTS?
ask staff memberI wish I could see embedded videos! Still not working on iPad.
awesomeSetup July last year, pic taken last night
sweetHeres my tank, post acro crash(only a few survivors left)... no filters, no editing. Running Ecotech xr30non pro gen 4, modified ab+ (lowered the white channel a bit at the highest point) this picture was taken at highest light output.
And my frag tank, it's a 30g deep blue rimless... mostly acropora frags, some nicer zoas, a bunch of saved pieces from the main tank(y they lived in the frag and not the main I still dont get bc it's part of the same system) using 2 hydra 26s with the pucks in a square layout. Running a modified AB+ type schedule also.
