Got home from mom in laws and did parameters

PO4 - .080 (Just changed GFO yesterday so this was expected)
Ca - 430
Mg - 1460
dkH - 9.3
Salinity - 1.025
pH - 8.2
NO3 - ~50(Still can't figure this out)

Going to have to start something else to help lower Nitrates. I've been skimming wet, have the sulfur reactor running with low NO3 coming out, did a 25% water change and turned up time on chaeto reactor. Thinking about starting to carbon dose using the same nopox recipe @mta_morrow is using. Mike I'll pm you about how you started dosing it.

@najer finally got a pic of my Foxface nuzzling one of my trachys in full camo ;)

I think they like the softness, mine used to sleep in the big sinularia when it was smaller, great pic. :)

How are you getting the CBB to eat? I’d love to get one

The CBB loves masstick. I just mix up 1/2 teaspoon with 1 ml of rodi and stick it on the glass after I feed the tank daily. He goes right for it with a couple other fish. He also cleaned my tank of aiptasia too. I see him pecking at the rock and sand all the time. Probably picking pods.

I'm down to last Parameter to solve. Nitrates! Mine are around 25 but close to 50 on the Salifert test.
If you figure out a way, let me know.
I don't want to get into anything like NoPOx, or any permanent additive.

Did you dose your 1st shot of NoPox yet?
Forgot to dose it last night so I did it just now. Started with 8 ml and will do that for 3 days then test NO3 and see if there are any changes. :)

There will probably not be any changes till you get to full doses +. Starting at 1/2 dose prevents a bacteria bloom.
